Silver Reels Results

UATV's Razorback Reels movie review show has announced the winners of the 2nd Silver Reels Awards. The winners in ten different categories were chosen by the general public via online balloting.

The Dark Knight won all four of the awards that is was nominated for, winning Best Picture - Drama, Best Picture - Action, Best Actor and Best Catchphrase. Its four wins bested the record that Juno set last year, when it won three Silver Reels.

Although there were ten categories, there were eleven Silver Reels awarded -- there was a tie in Best Picture - Comedy between Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder.

In total, 51 individuals cast ballots for the Silver Reels. The awards show was broadcast on UATV 14 on Monday, February 23d, 2009 at 8:00 pm.

Razorback Reels airs weekly on Mondays nights from 8:00 to 8:30 pm on UATV 14. Co-hosts Aaron Empsall and Adam Roberts review the new movies released into area theaters, suggest classic movies to rent on DVD and keep viewers informed about the world of cinema.
